Product Description

Dulux Professional Weathershield PU Elastomeric is a high-performance premium exterior emulsion powered by Polyurethane Technology that provides excellent protection against weather and UV stability which leads to excellent durability. The product is equipped with Crack Proof Technology that allows the paint film to stretch itself to bridge hairline cracks and prevents water ingress from the exterior surface. Hence preventing dampness not only in exteriors, but also in the interiors of the house. Its capability to resists from the formation of algae and fungus longer compared to standard exterior wall emulsion helps to maintain the beauty of the houses for years to come.

Tips & Advice

Surface Preparation

Ensure surface is thoroughly clean, dry and free from all loose dirt, chalk, grease, fungi, algae and flaking paint. This can be achieved by brushing with a wire/stiff coir brush, followed by water jetting if required.
Avoid inhalation of dust during cleaning of the surface. For areas severely affected by algae or fungus, application of Pre-Treatment Coat is recommended.
Fill up all minor cracks and defects with cement and sand mixture in the ratio 1:3. Avoid application of putty or filling compound.
Freshly plastered surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. For best adhesion performance, the moisture content in the wall should not exceed 10%.

Application Tools
By roller, brush or conventional /airless spray (nozzle size 0.5mm to 0.7mm).

Dilution
Dilute 1L of paint with 400-500 ml clean water. In case of deep colours, dilute 1L of paint with a maximum of 250 ml clean water. 25-30% dilution is mandatory for roller application (An additional coat may be required for full opacity).

Note: Excessive dilution from that recommended will result in low coverage and may impact application properties and colour.
